John Knox Center Celebrates 50 Years of Ministry
Celebrate 50 Years of ministry at John Knox Center with your congregation! You have made it possible for thousands of children, youth and adults to experience God's love in a Christian atmosphere over the last five decades!
Celebrate this life changing place September 17-19, 2010. This will be a weekend of celebration, reflection, fellowship and story telling. There is something for everyone from water skiing, high ropes, and swimming to tailgating the telecast UT/Florida game projected in the pavilion!
Registration is now available here: {LINK"}. Overnight accommodations are available on a first come first serve basis. Enjoy the overnight experience or come for the day. This is more than just a picnic, registration is required.

ON THE CHURCH BULLETIN BOARD
August and September: Prostate Cancer Awareness
Did you know that one in six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime? The UT Cancer Institute hopes to raise prostate cancer awareness with several events that occurred in August and will continue into September. There will also be several free prostate cancer screening clinics, including one in Scott County on September 21. Please see the church bulletin board for more details.
October: School of the Laity
This fall our Presbytery will offer the School of the Laity to all Presbyterians interested in learning more about the Presbyterian faith tradition. Elders interested in becoming commissioned lay pastors will also begin their training with these events. The initial sessions will be held at Maryville College in October. Please see the bulletin board for more information.
