Support for the Emergency Food Assistance Pantry

The Scott County Emergency Food Assistance (SCEFA) pantry is supported by many churches, businesses, government bodies, and individuals in Scott County.

Supported by a variety of groups and individuals, the SCEFA pantry is also a successful cooperative endeavor among churches in the county. It also receives support from the Presbytery of East Tennessee (PCUSA) and regional bodies of other churches.

Representative Pantry Support GroupsIn the photo at left the groups represented include First Presbyterian Church, Huntsville; St. Jude Catholic Church, Helenwood; First Baptist Church, Huntsville; and the Scott County Sheriff’s Department.

The pantry is open every Tuesday from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM. Families can pick up food once a month or more often if there is a documented need. Pantry volunteers also deliver to homes with special needs, such as elderly persons.
In the photo above, pantry volunteers prepare food for distribution. The Scott County Emergency Food Assistance Pantry is a cooperative endeavor of many churches, civic organizations and private individuals and serves those throughout Scott County who are in need of food.
